For more than 20 years, Vassallo Constructions has worked to a charter of excellence.

Vassallo Constructions started in Mackay region in 1997 as a family business. The strong family values and a commitment to the Mackay community have stayed with the company over the years; enabling its growth to what it is today: the largest civil construction company in Mackay and surrounding regions. As a mid-tier construction company, it also holds its own further afield.

Across the civil works, construction and development sectors, the Vassallo group of companies has built a reputation of highest-standard project delivery. Vassallo Constructions has a strong commitment to the Mackay region but good news spreads fast, and it’s a name now front-of-mind for developers throughout Central, North and broader regional Queensland.

Having managed projects located within CBD districts, to more remote reaches of the region, to greenfield sites, to staged developments, Vassallo Constructions has the capability to deliver projects budgeted up to $100M.

Those projects are completed with a strong focus on supporting the local businesses, services and skills of the region they’re doing business in. Vassallo Constructions is a major employer in the Mackay region and seeks to employ locals first. In tendering and completing work, there is also a commitment to looking locally first, before venturing further afield to surrounding regions and then to other regional Queensland centres.

In 1997 four brothers – Vic, Joe, Peter and Michael Vassallo – started a family owned and operated business with the Mackay Region as its footprint.

Two decades on, Vassallo Constructions Pty Ltd still has those same family values, but under the leadership of the Vassallo brothers, it has amassed an unrivalled level of local expertise and experience in roadbuilding, bridge building, pipelines and bulk earthworks.

As a major employer in the local area, Vassallo Constructions has delivered a large number of significant milestone projects – including the $18 million Mackay City Centre Revitalisation Project – that have shaped the landscape and economic outlook of the region and beyond.

These days, with a capacity for projects valued up to $100M, and a vast portfolio of high-level works and developments across the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions, Vassallo Constructions is at the forefront of construction, continually improving and innovating to keep up to date with industry and legislative expectations.

Vassallo Constructions Pty Ltd is a multi-faceted business with extensive experience in all aspects of civil engineering including roadbuilding, bridge building, pipelines and bulk earthworks with specialisation in the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions. The company is also a registered Traffic Management company with the Department of Transport and Main Roads and is qualified to design and implement plans utilising in house Level 3, RPEQ certified Engineers.

As Vassallo Constructions’ scope of work and project delivery grew, so too did its company profile and structure.

With the development of a strong network of support and subsidiary companies, Vassallo Constructions was able to better service clients, and more efficiently deliver on projects by shoring up significant supply chain, marketing and development facets of the business.

For more than two decades, Vassallo Constructions’ companies have been at the cutting edge of development in the Mackay region. This has driven the staged construction of high-quality residential estates including Northview Gardens, Richmond Hills, Shoal Point Waters, Nabilla Meadows as well as the commercial Enterprise Street development.

They are also the driving force behind Town Beach Mackay, Inspire CBD and Parkedge Apartments.
