Quality
Vassallo Constructions provide civil earthworks, construction and road building throughout Central Queensland. Our aim is to provide the highest quality product at the lowest practical cost for our customers. Quality workmanship is the focus of all our employees. To maintain our excellent reputation for quality workmanship, we comply with all specifications, standards and contractual obligations and encourage employee involvement in all stages of constructions. We also encourage a robust customer feedback process. All levels of management, supervision staff and personnel are committed to our quality policy. The Quality System for Vassallo Constructions is based on ISO 9001:2000.
Safety
Vassallo Constructions consider the safety and welfare of its employees to be of paramount importance. It believes that all industrial injuries can be prevented and does not consider work to be so important that time cannot be taken to find safe methods.
Management ensures that each employee follows safe work methods and accepts responsibility for working safety in the interest of not only their own welfare but also that of their fellow employees.
We Believe that accident prevention is the responsibility of both management and every employee. A culture of working safely has been established and continues to be developed and is therefore part of the normal working routine.
Safety issues are continually assessed by our Workplace Heath and Safety Officer, Safety Committee the site representatives. The safety management system is certified to ASINZS 4801:2001
Environmental
Vassallo Constructions strives to undertake its operations in an environmentally responsible manner so that it achieves its moral and community expectations and complies with all relevant legislation and regulations.
All operations are carefully planned and executed in order to minimise any impact on the environment. An assessment of this impact has highlighted air and water quality, the preservation of native flora and fauna, the need for weed management practices and the management of waste and hazardous materials as significant aspects. Staff are aware of their environmental responsibility through procedures and training. They are trained to minimise effects on the environment during their everyday work activities. All processes and actions performed are continually monitored and refined so to improve their effectiveness.
